Starfall — a cozy card duel

The Day Court and the Night Court duel to light the sky. Everything you lose becomes a star, and stars become constellations. Starfall is free to play in your browser, with no download and no sign-up. Please turn on JavaScript to play.

How it plays

Best of three rounds: Morning, Afternoon and Night, with ten lanterns each round.
Play units and spells with sunlight, which grows every turn.
When your units fall or your lanterns go dark, you gain stars. Spend them on constellations, big shared effects in the middle of the board, or on a redraw.
Wish cards are set face down and spring during your opponent’s turn.
Losing a round is not the end: your stars carry over, and you lead the next round.

Ways to play

Play someone now: we pair you with whoever is online, or deal you the computer if nobody is.
Play a friend: send a code, and your friend joins from their browser.
Daily Sky: the same deal for everyone, every day.
Court Trials and your own decks, built from the cards you find.
The journey: a story told in duels. A ward has failed at Maren’s observatory, and the roads to Lantern Hollow are falling away.
